In a sea of aqua

...Aqua abalone & shell frames & box...

I always knew I loved Jadeite, Mint & other light greens.....

Case in point: there's the green hutch so "lovingly" destroyed with tools & a sander, LOL....

But here's another color that I keep finding reasons to surround myself with.....

Only recently did I notice just how many touches of Aqua I have around the house.....

I think this color just makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. There must be some reason I'm surrounded by so much of it! LOL.....

Another one of my blue acrylic chandys.....

These are 3 ft. hand-forged Aqua blue iron sconces with Swarovski crystals dripping from them. When lit with all the candles, the crystals absolutely sparkle with a hundred rainbows

It's hard to see clearly from this shot, but this little guy is moss green and aqua, I wrapped some cheapie xmas lights aroud the base...30.00 find from Homegoods.

Are you also drawn mostly to one or two colors to use as "accents" around the house? My next post will be of a whole bunch of pictures I found recently online of this beautiful color, vintage prom dresses, elegant rooms, maybe some inspiration or a new idea for one or more of you? I know they put a smile on my face.....

Hi Kendra...if your pics are taken with a cell phone...wow...that's a good cell phone! I would love to see the the aqua iron sconce with the Swarovski crystals lit up. Maybe you can do a shot with it lit and the room a little bit darker...bet it's gorgeous! :-) Susan

Well girl we love so many of the same things! Those frames are killer! As are all the chandys! I seem to come back to mossy green and white over and over. And I like my colors muted. No bright red walls for me, although I can really appreciate them in the spaces of others. I think it's because I tend to be introverted. I want my home to be quiet and soothing kwim? My DH says our home looks like an old sepia photograph.....For me that's good!! Lol!! Vanna

Your aquas are just beautiful, and I think you stole my bread box!
For years I was drawn to plaid. I still am, but at one point every single room in my house had a touch of plaid in it!
I notice that I am drawn to autumn colors. My bedroom is extremely autumn, as is my craft room. Other rooms in my house are currently dictated by the paint of the former owner, but the pieces I've added are maroons, golds, deep oranges, plums. HMMM

Hi Kendra, I found your blog on Susans list of awards, just had to come and see for myself. I love your blog. I am reccomending it to my daughter-in-law who has always loved aqua, she will totally enjoy this. I have touches of blue in my bedroom in fact it has always been blue now that I think about it. My kitchen is a shade of depression era green. If you ever get over to Rms I have it posted. I am so enjoying blog land. I will be back on a regualar basis. Can't wait to see how you do Fall. I just can't do orange so I am sure I will see lots of white on your blog. I need inspiration. fondly Kathysue
